Why I Write

I write because writing is what got me to Eight grade and writing is one way of communicating. When the world didn't  have cell-phones or computers writing was the best way to connect with other family members that lived out of town.  The reason why people write is because its an easier way to get something out of your body.

A setting for the Cabin

I am sitting in the room, freezing from the cold air that stabs my gentle skin. While the wind whispers death from outside, heavy cold steel fear runs down my body. I am looking outside and the day looks grey and full of ghosts.

My Science Method

1.Problem
Does a plant grow better with Gatorade or water?
2.Background Knowledge
You have to water the plants 10mm in order for it to grow.
3.Hypothesis
The bean with the water will grow taller than the other bean.
4.Materials
      1.Water
      2. Cups
      3. Beans
      4. Beakers
      5. Ruler
      6. Paper,pencil for data
      7. Gatorade
      8. Soil
5.Method
 Original
 Step 1: Gather all materials

Step 2: Make observations such as finding the textures, and the mass. Then record the data.

 Step 3: Find a question.

Step 4: Form a hypothesis and record the data.

Step 5: Get a paper towel and wet it water.

Step 6: Wrap the beans in the  paper towel, and let it sit for 2 days.

Step 7: When the two days are over you get 2 cups and soil.

Step 8: You put half an inch of soil in each cup.

Step 9: Then put one bean in each cup.

Step 10: After that put 1 inch of soil on each cup.

Step 11: Get water and pour some  in the beaker until you get to 10 mm.

Step 12: Get Gatorade and follow the highlighted steps in Step 11.

Step 13: Pour the water in the cup.

Step 14: Pour the Gatorade in the other cup.

Step 15: Mark the cups so that you know which one is Water or Gatorade.

 Step 16: Record Data.

Step 17: Each day we'll check on the beans.

Step 18: Write down how much it has grown.

Step 19: At the end write down the results.

 Step 20: Compare the sizes.

 Step 21: Show your experiment.

Revised

 Step 1: Gather all materials

Step 2: Make observations such as finding the textures, and the mass. Then record the data.

 Step 3: Find a question.

Step 4: Form a hypothesis and record the data.

Step 5: Get a paper towel and wet it water.

Step 6: Wrap the beans in the  paper towel, and let it sit for 2 days.

Step 7: When the two days are over you get 2 cups and soil.

Step 8: You put half an inch of soil in each cup.

Step 9: Then put one bean in each cup.

Step 10: After that put one inch of soil in each cup.

Step 11: Get water and pour it to the 15 mm mark on the beaker.

Step 12: Do the same with the Gatorade.

Step 13: Pour the Gatorade in one cup then pour the water in another cup.

Step 14: Make sure to mark each cup so that you know which cup has the Gatorade or water.

Step 15: After that make a chart to record the data (record data each day).

Step 16: Measure how much each bean has grown and draw pictures.

Step 17: When you are done show the results for the growth of the beans.

Step 18: Make sure to show your experiment.

What I learned from this process of the beans is that if you don't put a lot of water it will not grow and if you put enough water it will eventually grow.

 6.Experiment

 7. Collect Data

 8. Conclusion
What I learned from this process of the beans is that if you don't put a lot of water it will not grow and if you put enough water it will eventually grow.

 9. Questions for Extensions
What if we watered the bean with the water 5mm and the other bean 15mm?
What if the Gatorade and the Water got watered every 2 days.
